This exhibit shows the elements and images of the historic event known as “La Victoria de Tampico de 1829” (Tampico’s Victory of 1829). This event marked the culmination of the Mexican Independence movement with the triumph of the Mexican troops over the troops commanded by Brigadier Isidro Barradas. In this exhibit you will admire the original “La Cruz de Tampico” (Tampico’s cross), the Historic Tampico’s Cannon, authentic bullets, weapons and objects of the period, portraits and representative images, historic documents, commemorative flags, and descriptive videos among other amazing things.
